Blue (a/k/a the Schmutz, big nose, the girl), ~8/95 – 6/27/05
Blue was put to rest this afternoon. She had been suffering from splenic cancer. In the last few days her walking became labored until this morning when I had to carry her home from the park. She was uncomfortable and demonstrably angry, simply growling from her bed for no apparent reason. It was time. She was a great friend and I will miss her dearly.
